I Wonder, Woman, What Are You Made of?
A Winter Series, Day 6 of 8
In God’s Timing
”To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:“ Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
This verse gives hope on so many levels, especially when you are going through a battle. It reminds you that the trouble won’t last always. It has an expiration date. Season’s are for a specific period of time and God does allow things to happen to prepare you for what is next. This is how He takes you from glory to glory. You may want something to happen immediately, but timing is essential to God’s well executed plan. When God does something, He does it right! He doesn’t leave one stone unturned. He wants to prepare you for the greater, so He receives the greater Glory!
What I have realized in my own life is that I grew the most in the Lord during the difficult times because it drove me into my Secret Place morning and night with Him. I tarried at the feet of Jesus to receive direction and comfort and guess what??? He met me every single time. I waited until I heard from Him. I seek Him more fervently when faced with adversities. This is the time when you are seeking His face (to have closer relationship with Him) rather than His hand (provision). When you seek the Lord with all your heart, HE RESPONDS! When God has your whole heart, He has everything. He shows His faithfulness time and time again. When you belong to Him completely, He gives you the VICTORY!!
As the Lord develops your character through those difficult times, embrace the process. Don’t fight it, so you will reach your full potential in Him. He will use you more mightily and in ways you never thought possible, all for His greater Glory!
